Detroit Society of Women Painters & Sculptors Show “VISIONS” Open March 3-31 in the Padzieski Gallery

The Padzieski Art Gallery is proud to host an exhibition of recent works organized and juried by one of the longest standing, self-sustaining women’s arts groups in the U.S., the Detroit Society of Women Painters & Sculptors. Though established in Detroit in 1903, this prestigious art organization boasts extremely talented members from all over Southeast Michigan. This showing of their latest creations is called “VISIONS” and opens this Thursday, March 3 and will be on display through the month of March.

The exhibition features all media and will be celebrated with an Opening Party Thursday, March 3 from 6-8 p.m.

The talented artists of this exhibit represent women of all ages, all interests, and all walks of life expressing themselves through various media. The remarkable artistic range on display offers a first-hand opportunity to experience what the Detroit Society of Women Painters & Sculptors contributes to Michigan’s artistic community.

Wednesday, March 16 from 2-3 p.m., “Teatime with the Artists” The DCAC’s regular monthly Gallery Talk program, will feature artists from the Detroit Society of Women Painters & Sculptors “VISIONS” exhibition, up through March 31. This informal and entertaining art talk with refreshments includes tea and sweets and is FREE to the public without registration. Come learn what inspires and motivates these artists.
