Learn the art of photography with award-winning Dearborn photographer

The Dearborn Community Arts Council is offering a Basic Photography Workshop with award-winning photographer Lance Rosol at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in the Padzieski Gallery on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 5-7:30 p.m.

Attendees are invited to understand more about the art of digital photography, and take their abilities to the next level at Lance Rosol’s Digital Imaging Academy’s Basic Photography Workshop.  This two-hour seminar has been created for both the casual and experienced photographer wanting to better understand their camera’s manual settings to gain more control over the photos that they take.  The Workshop will also include an overview of suggested accessories that help create quality images in more challenging environments, proper use of framing and negative space, choosing the correct lenses for different situations, knowing what to look for when purchasing a new camera and other helpful instruction.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and are encouraged to bring along with them whatever equipment they desire.

Dearborn’s Lance Rosol is a professional photographer and videographer who has enjoyed a successful career working within a variety of disciplines and artistic styles. His company, Pixel Perfect Photography, has been hired by Ford, General Electric, NBC, Masco Corp., Henry Ford College, The Society of Manufacturing Engineers and many others to provide photographic services.  During his travels Mr. Rosol has come to understand that, although the tools and the technology for taking photos may change constantly, what makes a striking and memorable photograph remains consistent.  Mr. Rosol has received multiple awards for his work and currently does video and photography full-time for Ford Motor Company. He enjoys exhibiting his work as well as jurying competitions including DCAC’s current Juried Photography Exhibition at the Padzieski Gallery.
