Public nominations open for the 30th annual Mayor’s Arts Awards

Do you know someone special who deserves to be recognized for all they do for the arts in Dearborn and its surrounding communities?

The Mayor’s Office and The Dearborn Community Arts Council invite you to help honor the artists and members of the arts community of 2017 as they announce the 30th Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards. This special event offers an opportunity to look back in appreciation of the artists, arts educators, arts volunteers and arts supporters who keep the arts strong and exciting throughout Dearborn.

Art often makes an impression beyond words, but the DCAC understands the importance of
acknowledging those who make art in all its forms, as well as our community’s many generous supporters of the arts. Their profound impact improves lives as well as the lives of our neighborhoods and cities.

The public is welcomed to participate in the nominating process by submitting nominations and accompanying materials by the deadline date of March 20, 2018.

The Awards Ceremony is presented at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, in “Studio A” located in The Ford Community and Performing Arts Center at 15801 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn.
